its sad they broke up as a band but I understand what lead to this conclusion. 

Incomprehensible is great. the melody seems like it could belong in Masterpiece/Capacity while the sound is a direct follow-up of DNWM, another classic is coming

 

hate the cover tho

Um, release one week earlier and they could've taken Shammy AOTY home, literally no competition this year.

nah they're not breaking up, I made a thread about it last summer, Max (the bassist) parted ways with them so now they're just a trio 

I'll save the single for the album, especially since it's much shorter this time compared to Dragon (which the length on that record worked well, but I'm happy to not have back-to-back double albums from them tbh).

I'm looking forward to this release. Capacity is still one of my favorite albums.

Incomprehensible is a masterpiece. A bit different than their previous releases but still with the gorgeous big thief hooks

Well, it's not DNWMIBIY-level but it's another really good album from them. I can see this having lots of replay value for me.

oh you know what b*tches? I may have had a cutwater before listening but this was a gorgeous first listen  people ain't gonna applaudingly receive this the way they did Dragon, but this is a beautiful and their warmest and most abstract album to date! it's such a left turn from Dragon and I love that for them 

I'm gonna need more time with it, but it's a nice album

So far this is the most immediate Big Thief album for me. I've found their other stuff pretty bland and inaccessible. DNWMIBIY is far too long. Their other records haven't quite gripped me either. Love Adrianne's solo work though.

Double Infinity title track wow... i love them

Wolf Alice's new album, Blood Orange and this gonna be on repeat for a while
