The Idol: 2 years later

Featured Replies

Looking back, the show gave us bops

and songs from the soundtrack broke multiple Spotify records. "One of your girls" and "Popular" with Madonna served longevity.

what are you're thought on the show two years later?
my new song coming out was inspired by Joslyn 🚬

The one time I wish the Razzies had a category for Worst TV Show.

it deserved SO much better i still bop to world class sinner all the time

i also hope amy seimetz's version sees the light of day someday

This show completely killed The Weeknd's mysterious cool factor and it's entirely his fault lmao

I know a masterpiece when I hear one :jonny5:

This was a moment. Even lorde was gagged

My thoughts are that this should have been a sign to Abel that film isn't his realm. It was a certified panned bomb, and what does he do? Releases Hurry Up Tomorrow: The Movie... an even worse certified panned bomb. :toofunny2:

Terrible just like everything The Weeknd has been involved in post Blinding Lights

Jennie and Lily were the best things to come out of that show,  especially Lily. If any nepo-baby deserves her crown, it's Lily

And we already all know how Abel ruined it to fit his misogynistic narrative, so we don't gotta talk about that

Also, the fact that we'll never get the Idol/Euphoria multiverse crossover is a travesty

I feel bad for Troye because he thought he was going to be on a massive iconic show :biblio:

i mean she could've had a hit at least. One of the Girls is #28 on Spotify Global nearly 2 years later which is crazy :rip:

Literally 💀

im still intrigued about the original premise of the show before abel and sam took over creatively, aesthetically it looked completely different than what we got. the show could've been good had they toned down the trauma porn and the cringy cult thing and instead explored the dark underbelly of the music industry and how it exploits women like joslyn. the soundtrack is tea tho !

The soundtrack, the score was good. Wish he focused more on that and let himself be a supporting character.
