People have been publicly calling for Katy's death and this is a much funnier and healthier way to handle public backlash than the favs of the two bases that will run in here to circlejerk and call this cringe.

Don't ever compare a clueless pop star getting rightfully called out for repeatedly doing ignorant and unethical things to someone facing backlash just for being popular.

I'm comparing how celebrities handled public backlash, not the reason for the backlash. The only reason for ARTPOP era hate at the time was that she performed worse than her previous album. 

 

Anyway weaponizing stereotypes about black people to sprinkle some white feminist girl boss power on your media narrative was unethical too, but that REALLY wasn't the point of my post. It was that swifties and monsters need to think before posting.

But does it even matter if you don't actually understand why they're getting backlash in the first place?

 

Let's see: one person got hate for something they didn't even do, while the other got (excessively) dragged for something they actually did. 

 

One of them seems at least somewhat justified in how they're reacting.

 

Idaf Katy handles her backlash by her ~witty~ persona, I just think your post makes no sense at all

You're right. Taylor really did lie and while Katy should NOT have worked with puke or defended the decision, she ultimately didn't commit the crime there.

 

 

You're ignoring that I also mentioned my #1 fav Gaga and her completely unfounded hate train era. It was really about comparing responses to hate trains and not inviting you to lie about what happened in 2016.

She lied. This defense hinges on the idea that saying "that *****" was more offensive than saying that she owed him sex or is responsible for her decades of hard work. Pack it up. 

 

It's not good or defensible but the rap of that era called all kinds of women "*******". That was never the outrageously out there claim and it's not what Taylor initially took public offense to. I'm not interested in this conversation.

God you're such a pickme. Gaga has never went on "a month long publix meltdown" during ARTPOP and the amount of unfair hate Gaga got during ARTPOP was literally million times worse than what Katy got.
