I'm curious to hear from other fans whether or not you feel Goldfrapp get the praise that they deserve from music fans / other artists???

 

I've been listening to their discography today and has been such an experience.

also, am I delusion or is Felt mountain giving Lana's honeymoon album 

I give them their flowers by streaming A&E daily 

everyone is a big deal for a while and then eventually not, but i think goldfrapp were an act who got a lot of respect in their day critically and i think alison gives off those 'elder stateswoman of pop' vibes now.

 

they only really had the one big era but i think its true that stuff like felt mountain was very influential over time, they also brought reinvention and very distinct eras back into pop music in a big way

 

and they had the bangers as well

 

 

Felt Mountain is insanely good 

Absolutely, especially for this masterpiece

 

Goldfrapp is my favorite band/group/duo

 

They whole discography is such a journey with such a variety of styles with absolute touch for perfection when it comes to production.

 

Most people know Strict Machine, Oh La La and Number1 but there is so much more to Goldfrapp than just these songs.

the ones who know know but their music really isn't as recognized as much as it should be

They are pretty hyped but never got into them myself.

They deserved to be, especially their electroclash stuff 

 

Side note Head First is overhated 

went diamond in my bedroom so yes

Tales of Us is one of my favorite albums ever but other than that no other album has really grabbed me. But still I think that their music is excellent and deserves much more recognition.

yeah, i had an idea that they were one of the main people behind the glam revival but even then i wasn't sure and ofc a few years later that's all over blackout and rihanna SOS, idk if people would necessarily make the connections

just got plunged into depression watching Alison flawlessly sing a string of Goldfrapp hits while opening for the scissor sisters and only like 3 people in the crowd stood up. More reason the UK should be terminated. 

they do from me!  i saw Alison a couple years ago at Manchester Pride and it was amazing
