Fifteen is an underrated discography highlight; Red and Cruel Summer are overrated, midtier Taylor Swift songs.

Not a chance. There are ways to improve its singles run to get more / bigger hits, but I doubt any were going to be the sort the booked residencies in the top 10 of the Hot 100.

could have gone well for her. They definitely held back on releasing Sparks Fly as the lead single because she had already performed it before and it was known to fans, but I think that was a mistake; they knew the fans wanted it, which would have driven excitement for its release. I think Sparks Fly definitely would’ve crossed over better than Mine, too. Haunted would’ve been a better pop single than TSOU, even if releasing it as a single in April seems a bit weird. Speak Now has a nice storytelling aspect to it that would’ve worked on country radio, and it was poppy enough to garner some crossover success. Nothing about Back to December’s rollout could be improved, while the Mean and Ours releases were executed perfectly.
