We can't change what happened, but I still believe the best course of action is not to rapidly change plans.

 

Bringing attention to a leak by changing plans has a worse effect than leaking.

 

Additionally, whoever did this clearly wanted to hurt her, so remaining undeterred would be the biggest "F*ck you!".

 

The reception seems to be very positive and I've only seen people saying they are more inclined to buy the record after hearing the leak than before. If she had recorded a 143, people would probably be cancelling their orders after hearing the leak instead.

 

The good thing is that she is a physical artist, so I don't think a leak has a drastic effect sales-wise.

if anything the response to leaks should be to release the album sooner, ala Future Nostalgia, it worked well for Dua so... the Dua Lipa effect, delaying would just have the Ava Max effect

Agreed. I guess the best she can do by now is push BOY CRAZY, do the promo and hope for the best. She's not a GP artist anymore, people who listen to her music will listen to her music anyways.
