Me comparing a single rollout strategy heavily involving Spotify when the thread is entirely about Spotify numbers isn't off topic. Coming into HQ to sub me for contributing actively to the conversation with genuine evidence and comparison is tired. Nobody quoted me either because they knew I was right and on topic in my comparison 

 

Before you inevitably try and respond with some snarky comment and say something to the effect of "it's not that serious" I just wanna say the quote button is in the thread for a reason. Use it next time instead of trying to provoke me through the most heavily moderated thread on this site. It's not the first time that users on here have tried it with me in HQ and won't be the last. I was just pointing out the very ATRL thing that was to have a thread derailing to the point of bringing analysis of songs from almost a decade ago. And it wasn't something personal against you, it's something that happens very often and that many users in general do in many threads, so I just made that comment in the sense of 'welp, it's happening again' 

 

Btw, bringing up Call Me Maybe comparisons was the nail in the coffin for the Disease thread, so that comment of 2012 songs was no joke at all. Be careful

If I recall correctly, the Call Me Maybe comparisons were actually in the "Die With A Smile passes 1 billion streams" thread and were posted in response to a Lady Gaga fan being nasty towards Carly Rae Jepsen unprovoked. In any case, I'm sure the user drawing such comparisons had good reasons for doing so, and I think we can all agree that Call Me Maybe has displayed impressive longevity over the year.

I think Kendrick + SZA deserve a banner since they are having such a moment right now.

I got given a disruptive WP for reporting off-topic and flamebait comments with the note "liddos celebrating a successful single and talking about oghs losing isn't really offtopic. let them have their fun".  Apparently me using the feature as intended is "disruptive" and warrants my first WP in nearly 2 years.
