Her last album was pretty mid to me, but this one is shaping to be her best since Little Machines.

I feel this way too! Quite stoked to hear the whole thing.

This has to be the most visual era since The Listening.

What about Skin & Earth?

Clingy didn't do much for me, it sounds like a leftover from Pep. Still excited for Friday as the other 4 singles were great! :jamming:

I love Clingy.  So far Surface Tension is my fave of the era, though it's hard to choose.  Can't wait for Friday!

That was very visual, but in terms of music videos, I feel like A6 has given us more.

A6 = Lights' best album.  Will be my fave of all time.

You're Killing Me is devastating and didn't expect it to be my favorite one. Not one skip but other faves on first listen are Drinks on the Coast, The Other Side of the Door and Piranha.

After listening from start to finish a couple times, I can already tell I'm going to like this album a lot more than her last two. It's easily her best since "Little Machines" for me.

so excited to hear this in full tonight :wanda: every single has been stunning, all 5 are just beautiful and glowing and sound so special and passionate… she really was right on the money when she compared this project to Little Machines cause it very much feels like its sequel, and that's a big compliment coming from me cause LM is one of my favorite albums of all time! I feel like Up We Go and From All Sides hinted at what would come with this album, 11 years later lol

anyway! White Paper Palm Trees is my fav of the singles but all 5 are excellent and I can't wait to hear what else this album has in store tonight

Great album! A step up from pep for sure & back to the quality I usually expect from her, though like I said before I enjoyed some pep songs.

I was a little worried this was all going to be samey sounding after the first 3 non-intro songs and the first two singles being the only songs I'd heard in advance. But there was a bit more varied work on here, and I didn't even realize she was going to write and produce the whole thing by herself, so honestly I give her a bit of grace for it having some "samey" moments here and there.

This is definitely for the Little Machines stans (though this is more like LM's new wave lil sister with more depression), but there's enough here for anyone who's a Lights fan!

Favorite tracks off the top of my head, in tracklist order: Damage, Alive Again, You're Killing Me (maybe top 1?), Drinks on the Coast, The Other Side of the Door, & Piranha

her ad libs at the end of Take It Easy okay vocals :flame: serving some Hayley Williams teas there

wait a second The Other Side of the Door is one of her best songs ever holy sh*t :jonny5:

Piranha is soooo classic new wave fun banger oh wow with the length of it I wasn't expecting it to be fun sounding like this! I'm actually so impressed at how much fun this album is while still having that post-punk undercurrent running through it

yeah, this is easily her best album since Little Machines, I'm shook :jonny5:

yknow You're Killing Me didn't actually strike me a ton on first listen but listening to it individually it's actually growing a LOT already :smitten:

Clingy is the only song that stood out as being not good, a big improvement over her last couple of records

YOU'RE KILLING ME got me crying on the way to work :suburban:
