I'm a fan of hers but the song and video does NOTHING for me. It wasn't exactly a good start when we got AI artwork for the song that's supposed to be the lead

She's already explained that there were major issues going on with the label itself. Half the artists being dropped and half the staff being fired. She also had no management and it seems like her and Cirkut broke up on bad terms cause he nor her ex best friend Madison are on good terms. Even though they were messing around with each other while they were in lockdown in the same house the audacity.

isn't one of those collabs sampling stereo love , the snippets sound good tho so atleast it was done tastefully but we will have to see

 

we really just need something fresh and.. exciting, if she and her team really put their minds to it, even with less budget or less label support it's time to get creative

I was reflecting on this song after listening to Loving Myself which is obviously a FU song to Cirkuit about how she moved on from him.  But then as I paid attention to the lyrics , it clicked: this is a break-up song using religious metaphors to speak about how Cirkuit became disillusioned with her and ultimately stopped caring about her. When you listen to it from that perspective it is very touching.
