How LSRFM can be bigger than IVE deadbanana4

IVE is a complete flop globally now. Their streams are piss poor

This thread hates him or whatever, but the way he showed the ENTIRE bts for a big performance from first creative meetings to rehearsals to real world events influencing his decisions to soundcheck to his reaction after it didn't go according to plan was really really interesting. I wish more stars were open like this.

People being a lil too comfortable with calling IVE 'flop' due to spotify autoplay being non-existent for them compared to other ggs lol, when they still consistently chart in the top 5/10 in their home country and sell albums. Y'all need to stop throwing that word around so loosely.

IVE is definitely number 1 or maybe number 2 girl group in Korea right now but I have to admit their global fandom is not that strong. They were not even in the Top 10 Fans Choice Female in the last MAMA Awards which fans from all around the world voted for dancehall. Even ITZY's global fandom was stronger than IVE right now. It's sad.

Starship should payola this German icon more. She always received the loudest cheer from fans outside Korea and Japan. She's coming to serve vocal and talent. clap3

i have no idea if they're still considered one of the top ggs in korea but ive's music has felt pretty subpar for a while now even so i can still get through their songs without skipping the same can't really be said about le sserafim's latest effort, however

Well yeah you're not wrong, it's no secret that they dont have a big global fandom. Their biggest streams globally have been for songs that were too massive to ignore like LOVE DIVE, After Like, I AM, among others. And it all comes down to Starship not knowing how to market them internationally as you said. Like if you see their vibe it's pretty clear that they're mostly still catering to a strictly korean audience while other 4th gen ggs have either found a balance between kpop/western packaging or just a complete global focus. (And no, those random english songs/features dont count because that's definitely not something the global audience would like rip). So whatever is going on with their global streams, it's pretty obvious why that is.

I do agree with the Liz part tbh. She's got it all, the looks, the confidence, the voice. Yujin, Liz and Rei 's aggressive push could do wonders for this group internationally. Wonyoung is too princessy and her image is too big in Korea to completely pivot into something "non-kpop" if you know what i mean? Like she cannot afford to change herself up completely without losing popularity because her current brand is already massive among core kpop audience.

IVE has definitely peaked overall. Their biggest streaming year ever was in 2023, where they managed to gain 1 billion streams as rookies. Now in 2025, despite being more established and having way more songs out, they can't come close to those rookie numbers and are only doing around 600–700 million streams a year. That's barely higher than what they did in their debut year in 2022 as well, when they had just 6 songs and still managed to gain over 500 million yearly streams

Cube didn't even give LIGHTSUM a seasons greetings this year. And no comeback this year as well… can they just let the girls out of their contracts bc clearly they're not doing anything with them deadbanana

This is infuriating, especially since the girls don't lack of skills compared to other gg. They just are never promoted or releasing music.

I want GD to bring me to his trailer at Coachella and give me some D.

You do know that NewJeans are from the same company as LE SSERAFIM and benefited more than anyone from HYBE's playlisting and autoplay, right? It was a huge topic back in 2022–2023. From the moment they debuted, NewJeans were added to the biggest Spotify playlists, and people were constantly posting evidence showing that their songs would autoplay after almost every track.

Again, I am just using the same logic as you, since you claim LE SSERAFIM's streams aren't real. Like people in here really need to be more objective and fair towards LE SSERAFIM

Yes HYBE did a lot payola for Newjeans as well but yet, it is very clear that newjeans is indeed very popular with the way they are dominating the charts (even with Payola). This is something LSRF couldn't do it.

And isn't it have been exposed that Bang CEO favoured LSRF way more than newjeans? So I am pretty sure LSRF is the most payola-ed act in HYBE, yet they couldn't reach the popularity height of newjeans.

New Jeans is an anomaly. Nobody pulled their numbers. It was to the point that a single group single handily changed the generation of Kpop.

On their own LE SSERAFIM isn't doing badly either. Payola aside, they literally can compete against the top gg on several metrics.

And I have seen people over that Musk app saying they are doing Fan sign and Fanmeeting to sell albums. Well at least they are promoting, and we know these albums are actually sold to people and not sleeping on a warehouse like some agency doing... matty
