Monsters? Who's year this was supposed to belong to with a new peak of Gaga's career with JFAD but everything going wrong, and Gaga's career being stained with a panned movie.

 

Katy Kats? Who witnessed their fav, her album, and her career get relentlessly dragged to the pits of hell in front of the whole world with no hope of return.

 

Barbz? Who've watched their fav spiral in her coke binges, get arrested, and continue to get dragged by the internet for being married to a pdf.

 

Navy? Who's fav hasn't released new music in practically 10 years, and when hope and hype starts for new music she suddenly announces that she's scrapping it and starting from scratch.

Unfortunately, KatyCats because they don't have much to be proud of this year.

Navy a close second because we haven't gotten anything in 9 years. But at least we have an excellent discography of smash hits to fall back on.

Rihanna hasn't released music in almost a decade (other than Blackpanther songs), and all signs point to that not changing anytime soon, if ever….

 

Katy: bomb after bomb after bomb after bomb. It's like her career utterly died the moment the Prism era ended 

even if the hive isnt having a great year, we got an incredible album 2 years ago, a massive tour last year (and a tour movie!) and an acclaimed album with a #1 smash hit just this year. I wouldnt say it's bad for us other fanbases would kill to have that. Sure Giselle is playin on our faces with her endless side gigs BUT despite the scarcity, the quality of her music related output hasnt declined. On top of that we know for a fact a third album in the trilogy IS coming.

Navy out of those. Katycats, even beneath all the rubble, were granted a few palatable moments with her most recent album which is more than I can say about Smile. And even disregarding the quality of music, all the others have had active eras in the past year or so. Showcased at least an ounce of musical ambition. Rihanna has a beauty empire(?) to offer.

Navy, I don't know if I would still stan if one of my favs spent 10 years without releasing an album
