I like this strategy, to be honest. She's still virtually unknown so the more she pleases casuals with different songs, the more people will tune in for the album. Someone who enjoyed 2+ songs of hers before the album is more likely to give it a listen than someone who's just listened to AOMD.

 

It'll be nice of her to have a nice small catalog across pop playlists on Spotify as a build up to the album. As long as it comes on January or, at latest, February, I think she'll be fine…

Perrie is rumored to do the same thing soon too, Sony would surely want to capitalize having both on pre-order for extra headlines etc.

This. Midnight Cowboy next week, FUFN sometime in mid-late October (releasing in Nov would be chart suicide) and Showbiz closer to the album release would make more sense.

I don't think FUFN is coming this year… I think they're saving the most commercial song for the album release, it seems to be the strategy nowadays, so that one catapults the other.

Also, The Sun have reported she filmed Midnight Cowboy and That's Showbiz Baby and we've been aware now that their management feeds them with information they purposefully want leaked. They posted about Angel before anyone did, so I'm pretty sure whichever is the official single isn't coming before these two. Otherwise, it would've been mentioned on that piece.

 

I think she filmed three videos but had them report only two so that the actual single would be more of a secret.

 

We'll see…

Oh that's a shame about it not being a single since it seems to have so much potential considering the reviews from those who listened to it…

 

I wonder if she'll sing one of the promo tracks on Live Lounge then, or release the second single before That's Showbiz Baby.

That video of her (?) running away from the camera in the red wig would seemingly fit a video for That's Showbiz, baby! more so than Midnight Cowby

 

Perhaps that's her way of teasing both songs?

It'd be a dream if she dropped both on the same day a la B2B/Club Classics

Makes sense since shes doing Live Lounge in October. It'll align with that and with her first live performances. Its a good call on the teams part!

This sounds like such an odd song to sing at Live Lounge though…

I think they'd be delaying it a lot longer than just a week if it was to do with Live Lounge tbh… 

 

It must just be some other logistical reason, maybe the video isn't ready or something
