    Can't believe I'm seeing Lagerfeld making a valid point. Yes she's severely underrated considering her impact in other artists in contrast to how lukewarm the reception was for her amazing 2020 album. Something's not clicking

    She is not an icon let alone her being a legend at this point she is only know for this

    Absolutely. :jonny5: Her debut album is everything.

    Brandy is very much a legend and even an icon. Her vocals ALONE have cemented her as a legend. Brandy's vocal layering is superb.

    She's good but her music didn't pass the test of time, it's very of her time and she lacked evolution. She's an icon for RNB singers the same way Britney is an icon within the bubllegum pop landscape, but the reach of her achievements are less impressive/important overall.

    Her impact on vocals and harmonies is so understated. It can be felt in modern R&B and Pop, but she doesn't get nearly the credit she deserves. Not to mention her stellar discography filled with classics >>> People really need to give her more flowers! :giraffe:

    I think she gets a lot of credit tbh, but there were others who pioneered or further excelled in the things she did well so she can fall into the background sometimes.

    lol It's funny you mention Britney in this context because Brandy was one of the blueprints for early Britney. IYKYK.

    Perhaps overall but in R&B arena, she definitely gets her flowers for her influence, especially vocally. 

    She's an R&B Legend I can give her that still can't believe she uses a slur on her last Album and no one cared enough to correct her she should know better :chick1:  
     

    She has an underrated discography minus B7 in my opinion. 

    She's an R&B legend. What About Us? is a generational defining classic in this haus :clap3:
