CC is mostly filler but 30 is just plain bad except for a few songs. Beyoncé wins this one.

  • 30. Cowboy Carter feels forced and unauthentic.

  • two extremely subpar albums, i'd give the edge to Adele since this was her first "flop", Beyonce been on that wave for several albums now

30 has more listenable songs and it has one of the best ballads of all time

I Drink Wine

To Be Loved

and of course the giant megamash still doing 1.5 million streams daily Easy on Me

wish Beyonce would do an album that will utilize her vocals more because she is one of the best singers of all time and we need more ballads from her like Listen.

A bit, I have played 30 more since I'm more of an Adele stan but I feel CC is better and feels more ambitious.

CC has more filler but it's a more compelling listen overall

30 is Adele's best album, while CC is Bey's 4th best album.

So 30 wins for me.

The battle of albums with no replay value:jonny5:

30 I guess. It gives you a very cute listen in Winter

30 was boring to me but not bad necessarily

CC is wonderful though

CC wins

This is an interesting comparison, the albums actually seem very spiritually similar to me. I wouldn't call either anything close to bad but they're not very listenable.

Probably lean Beyoncé

Just bought the 30 vinyl, but Cowboy Carter is an artistic feat! Can't wait till we can be honest about the excellence that is CC - so many career highlights on the album.

CC but not by that much

I consider both albums to be good, they might be boring to the masses but the clear intent behind both projects was not commercial success, but exploration.

I think that it just reflects the point of their career were both are that they no longer need to release material that resonates with the general public

30 is severely underrated.

Strangers By Nature, I Drink Wine, To Be Loved, Love is a Game, and All Night Parking are all amazing.

Cowboy Carter, easily.

30 is mediocre with barely anything worth listening to, a good example of an artist just phoning it in.

30 felt like a dip in quality for Adele, so I'm opting for Cowboy Carter, which does have some real gems

Adele would even tell you COWBOY CARTER > 30. sad adele GIF

This thread is one of the best examples about lack of taste on this site :deadbanana: these responses are wild :deadbanana2:

These albums are both very good

Cowboy Carter has held up better than I expected, some songs are retreads within the same album, but overall it's a 7.5+/10

30 is pretty strong where it is and is weak when it is, very compelling too. The songwriting isn't as strong as in some of her past albums but it has such strong highs and sounds more mature and boundary pushing for the artist

So 30 wins for me.
