(a bit off topic) that song is sooo good, it should've been on the standard version for sure, it's one of the bests off Smile (like Energy).

I read that she will be auditioning at U.S. stores in various cities throughout September. Girl, be careful, you may be asked complex questions on camera.

 

I cant believe… She could've actually get a Top20 hit with her lead single if it was produced by someone else. 

But she was too scared to flop , all up in her head with confidence at all time low and run to Dr Luke thinking she did smth with that dated producer. 

 

She could've easily call BloodPop to give her a hit top20 lead single.

I wish she'd committed to the dance genre and worked with dance/electonic producers. Imagine a Katy single produced by Fred Again, BloodPop, Stuart Price or Jamie xx (who's album coincidentally comes out the same day as 143). 

I do wonder which songs Max Martin produced too since he's been confirmed for the album.

She was at least flopping in peace with Witness and Smile and always got a chance to get back in business for a big hit but this one… Its different. internet and critics totally ruined her. I never see her coming back ever again. 

 

It was so easy , look at the billboard charts pick one artist that would fit for your new song and Rent a trendy pop star to feature on a bloodpop produced track, at least they wouldnt call you Gaga ripoff because its the same producer. 

That would be easy Top40/30/20 debut for her and would chart more than 1 week.

She was not flopping in peace with Witness. Her mental health suffered signifcantly, but luckily she made the right call to focus on her own life and family more after that tour. Ultimately that saved her from completely spiraling I think

It's sad to see how this era is a MESS

I could never imagine that situation would occur, I'm just expecting the worsen, and I was always optimistic with her even with Witness and smile, but going lower than Smile in a way that she won't have any song and the álbum hitting not even 100k on us it's terribly sad. Nick Jonas is my favorite male singer, and his First two projects archived good numbers, so much it came Spaceman, where Singles and album probably didn't sell not even 100k, but never Nick suffered any backslash (being a man helps a lot) what I'm meaning is, I don't stop to be a fan from an artist because it had an era or two era with enormous comercial failure, so I won't stop being Katy's fan , but I must to say how I'm disappointed with her, how my hopes is over about her as an artist, it's a lot o deception, because even by a miracle she does something better and less problematic in next album, we would have to wait 4 long years again. It's a disrespect with us that wait always her , coming back putting herself in so many problematic situations, the worse is that everything could be avoided, but she looks like doesn't really care about her career anymore like before, and it reflects in she not even give a **** about our feelings.

Sorry for that, but I didn't feel it not even in smile and witness. 😔😔😔😔😔

I truly question how that song was included on the album, let alone chosen to be her comeback single… snakes in the camp I fear 

maybe i'm delulu but the witness era was way worse  i think it's because the lashings she's receiving this time around is actually deserved unlike the majority of things people hated her for in 2017. also the visuals are great and she doesn't look like a yassified ellen degeneres so that also helps

Something tells me that she chose it as her comeback.
She actually believes she's saving the world with these corny self empowering songs. 

This era is a shambles but I have faith that Lifetimes is going to pop tf off at Rock In Rio. The chorus is massive. She better do it.

Yeah she's really shown how out of touch her decision making is this era and you kind of wonder if TD and Prism were the flukes now, rather than the standard
