Reflektor Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Signed vinyl purchased. Hoping she'll do US shows outside of NYC on a Monday/Tuesday!
josesuxx Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Excellent single from what will probably become one of my favorite albums of all time if it's half as good as Song For Our Daughter
Chemist Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Another slay incoming this year shaping up to bit one of the best years in music ever! 1
sweetsexysavage Posted October 25 Posted October 25 The new album by Laura Marling finally dropped! 1
Mikeymoonshine Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Christ I didn't even know she was dropping one. I'll have to give this a listen soon.
Joesuxx Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Can't wait to listen to this later. Her debut is still one of my favourite records of all time - nostalgia kick
Antisocialites Posted October 25 Posted October 25 this is fantastic. might be my favorite album from her with Semper Femina... Child of Mine, Patterns, The Shadows, Patterns in Repeat are all just gorgeous.
Haze Posted October 25 Posted October 25 I've always liked the verbose, high concept Laura lyrics, but the way her lyrics have evolved these past two albums to something so clear and cutting ... truly turning out to be Joni's rightful heir.
shookspeare Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Another fantastic album for Mrs. Marling Might be my favorite of hers, I love her quiet, slower stuff

Haze Posted October 28 Posted October 28 The way the strings motif of Breathe, a song about needing be alone and turning away from the other returns here (but ends in a much warmer final chord) in the title track of the album where she finds the simple bliss of family life .... ah miss Marling the legend that you are
JoeAg Posted October 29 Posted October 29 giving this a first listen finally while i do my package audit during this peaceful shift
JoeAg Posted October 29 Posted October 29 stunning, spare album. my god, so ridiculously beautiful idk if I can say it's my fav Laura album because Short Movie has always meant SO much to me, but it's definitely her best since then this is the exact kind of music I often make, and one of my fav kinds in general, so this is gonna get a lot of spins from me for sure! 2
Reflektor Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I've actually had this pattern on repeat since the 25th. What a beautiful and rich album -- I think she's somehow reached a new level of maturity in her songwriting; it can bring a tear to my eye and when played start to finish feels like a sort of emotional catharsis took place. The praise it's receiving is absolutely deserved. A late entry for AOYT form the actual millennial Joni Mitchell. (Also, do any childless pet owners think alternatively about their parents and their dog when "Lullaby" comes on?) 1
Wilkes Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I was fortunate enough to go to one of the nights of the London shows last week. It was incredible 1
