after dropping her critically acclaimed project "AR", with collaborations with Pop jaggernauts such as Charli XCX, Madison Love, Alexander 23 and Jacob Kasher, Addison seems to be MIA from the Pop scene, again.

 

should Addison make a comeback and try to establish herself on the Pop land again? after all, her EP was very well received by Pop critics. she also casually dropped SOTY,  i got it bad.

 

give it up for Addison you guys. her EP is available on pink vinyl as an Urban Outfitters exclusive, both in stores and online.

 

also, she'll be making an appearance on Charli XCX's new single "von dutch".

on topic: I agree I think if I was her and hungry to escape whole tik tok girl shtick I would aggressively release music. I would’ve released a new ep 6 months later after her first to keep pop fans fed and start promoting as well push for random edm or pop collabs. Get her name out there outside of tik tok circles. Grab a team songwriters and producers and have a writing camp for a potential full length album. 

It’s annoying that absolutely no promo or videos came from that EP, she had some momentum and just let it fizzle. I’m hoping that she has something coming out soon

Idk but her management screwed up royally. I think the negative reception to Obsessed dissuaded her from pursuing music but then her tracks leaked and became gay cult classics and she seemed to have been stepping back into music. But then Tate McRae had an image change similar to what Addison had as sort of a neo-Britney with y2k music and smashed with Greedy so her niche got filled. She’ll need to comeback strong

She has enough buzz and streams that she absolutely could've signed with a bigger indie label if she really wanted to. Like the one I'm hopefully about to sign to myself, lol Or something like AWAL. Wiki lists 'AR' having been released through something called Sandlot Records. I'm not familiar with them and they don't seem to have an online footprint, so it might be her own independent release?

 

But perhaps her/her management's strategy was to wait for a major label deal, and they might not be interested so they think it's better to keep holding out.
