Tori Amos' has a great album about maternity, family and marriage, but after several uplifting songs you have a sudden, random and agressive "Fat S***!" song. After this song everything is awesome again.

    Sometimes, I get the vibe that Taylor doesn't really give a **** about making sonical sense with her track placements. I bet she places tracklist based off aesthetics :gaycat1:

    Endless Summer Vacation is an example.

     

    We have to wade through 5 mid-tempo tracks to get to the more upbeat songs like Handstand, Violet Chemistry, and River. Then after Island, the album ends on another midtempo track.

    Labyrinth and Bejeweled are two sides of a coin, the ending and beginning stages of a relationship. Sometimes it pays off to pay attention to lyrics

    idk I really like the odd placements of the last 3 songs, that works really well imo
