Police Perform Wellness Check On Britney Spears After Knife-Dancing Video

Someone who knew Spears personally ― not a concerned fan ― called police to express concerns, according to a spokesperson with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office in California.

 

“We typically don’t do things like that when fans call in and have concerns about celebrities and what’s said or done on social media,” Dean Worthy of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office told HuffPost on Thursday. “However, we’ve added the information and determined this individual was not simply a fan. Rather this person was close with Miss Spears and had a relationship and knew her on a personal basis.”

 

The law enforcement officer ― who knows Spears and has checked on her at the house previously ― left after Spears’ head of security and her attorney each assured him the singer was OK, Worthy said.

 

So she is OK guys. That is what her attorney and head of security said when the police showed up at her home. She wouldn't speak or let herself be seen by anyone.

I hope she finds the help she needs and I wish people would stop mentally treating her like a child who needs to be protected from the meanies when she is a fully grown adult. The behavior she exhibits sometimes is a cause for concern and while it is none of our business, the fact that she posts it online draws that behavior to our attention and alerts most people that something is very not right.

?? Where did I suggest that? I'm referring to the people who reply to threads telling people to leave her alone, or get defensive over her when people say "playing with knives around your dogs is not something that is normal."

The LAPD should not be anywhere near Britney Spears with the trauma she has from them. Plenty of other ways to check in on someone if you’re truly THAT concerned. 

She needs to move out of that bully country for real.

She really needs help and I wish there was someone in her surroundings who could help her get it. 

She just posted another video dancing with the knives addressing this. And I ask the same question as before: WHERE IS HER SUPPOSED NEW BACK TATTOO????

 

I know she has a right to her privacy and suspicions of the police and press, but everything about this is just so WEIRD. Refusing to come out or talk to anyone is just so sus to me.

britney does not have a good relationship with the media. i wouldn't speak to them either. its none of their business.

She should delete social media, cut off her leech family if she hasn't already, retire, move away from LA and live in peace honestly.

You can't force someone to get help if they don't want it or think they don't need it.

This is all so sad. I hope she finds some happiness soon. I think she should move somewhere away from the limelight. Doesn't she love Turks and Caicos?

She can't delete her social media herself because she doesn't run it.  13 anonymous people run her social media and would be out of a job catfishing as Britney Spears.   She's under a careplan who her lawyer lies about it not not existing. She's still referred to as a conservatee in court docs.

 

She's trapped in LA

As they should. A human being with a well known history of mental illness is dancing around her home with knives. Common sense to me.

I don’t believe that anyone truly concerned about Britney would think it wise to send POLICE to her home - AGAIN, with an understanding of her history. She would’ve been terrified. 
 

It’s so sad that I’m suggesting this, as it’s another imposition of censorship she doesn’t deserve, but it may be best for her not to share her life on social media anymore. It’s just giving tabloids fodder. 
 

Yes, she struggles with mental health, this is not a revelation. It’s all but a given after what she’s experienced. But her current behaviour is actually a testament to her STRENGTH, resilience & dedication to healing - exactly the opposite to what it’s being spun as. 
 

Let the woman dance, get back in touch with her femininity, bodily autonomy, creative outlets & learn to fall in love with & reclaim her own image, not one that was curated for mass consumption and dissection. Did y’all forget that only last year, she described in horrific detail that she’d lost feeling in one half of her body? Let her MOVE. She’s literally hurting nobody. 
 

This angers me to no end.

That video was scary. Posting a video on the internet swinging large knives in the air while puppies are scurrying around your feet   she and her fans can’t be surprised people are reacting poorly to it and that it led to this.

I didn’t say force. I said help her. As in I hope she can find someone she can trust who will help her see she needs professional help to deal with the trauma she’s been through. 

The people who call the police on her are the ones who need a wellness check, for real.

So they only talked to her team/security and not her?
