    She usually doesn't get a lot of likes compared to her followers, I have a hard time believing a shoe tweet is generating the kind of engagement.

    Because it is a common marketing tactic that making something seem more popular than it is will make people want to buy it. It is basically fear of missing out.

     

    But she has always bought social media followers so it is not like this is new to her.
