I feel like this is becoming increasingly more of a thing?

 

If you say you dislike a song or an artist or say something even slightly negative about an artist, people get genuinely offended and hostile over it

 

It doesn't even seem like stan feud/jokes a lot of times, it seems that people are genuinely offended and hateful

 

And like if you say something like: "I dont think ___ should sue that person"

 

People will be like: "BUT TAYLOR SWIFT SUED SOMEONE IN 2015 SO YOU'RE A HYPOCRITE" or "Swifties always say ____"

 

As if that has anything to do with my own opinion  

 

People try and drag you if you have an opinion and your fave did something different to that in the past

 

I know this website and stan stuff can be fun, but I don't get why people are so offended if somebody doesn't like a celebrity or doesn't like something a celebrity has done

 

I was even harassed (by who I assume is a member who found my Twitter) making fake profiles DM'ing me who had tried to obtain personal information on me after a discussion on here about Britney Spears a few years back

 

Even people spamming with 50 downvotes on a basic comment

 

I know stan jokes etc can be fun, but sometimes this site can feel like people are too personally offended over things that it can take the fun out of it.

Thoughts? Maybe its just me

 

It's a shame its this way because we share such a specific sense of humor and have a lot of similar interests. It's special, but people can be pretty horrible at the same time.

It’s true and your should say it. 
 

so far I’ve kept it cute but it is incredibly annoying. I understand protecting our favs but as much as I love Whitney Mariah Bey Rih and a bunch of other girls a Christmas joke or a jab at any of my favs won’t stop me from sleeping at night 

 

a lot of y’all need to worry about getting a bag a man and a house and get out of your feelings. The next one to try it I will talk about their mothers cuz this is very very tiresome.

It’s ridiculous at this point. I remember getting downvoted to hell for criticizing Renaissance, and a monster posted that they didn’t like Olivia’s song and got attacked and then an Olivia fan invaded the Gaga base as a result. 

it's not people being easily offended, but also being just as easy to be offensive. also, the execution of people's thoughts and viewpoints aren't articulated the most respectfully. but, that has ALWAYS been ATRL. that's apart of the culture on this site and has been for the last 12 years or so. it sounds like to me you didn't really know what you signed up for

About the touch grass phrase: I avoid it because I once knew someone who was allergic to grass so that phrase definitely feels insensitive and tone deaf to me. 

It reminds me when Sims 4 updated one of its trait names from "Insane" to "Erratic" and people were like "WHO THE **** COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS????" and I was like "uhhhh...me." Basically the trait allowed your sim to talk to themselves and experience random bursts of emotion. That is NOT what it means to be insane. They even had a STRAIGHTJACKET as the symbol for this trait.

Because gays identify with a pop girl that helped them be confident in their true self. Well idk how Taylor inspired a gay but here we are. 

Because 98% of this forum is either depressed, Gay, or chronically online. And can’t separate an opinion from fact, or they take everything too seriously about stanning celebrities.

Half this site runs around trolling and insulting people.  Generally you will find a lot of unresolved frustrations that feeds a vicious cycle.
