Stop. I am literally a filipino. Olivia has more privilege than us because she is part white.

That is the reality

It seems like you're having a completely different discussion in your head than we were having in the thread. I'm not discussing her privilege, I'm not discussing whether she's 'white passing', she's factually not 'white'. She is biracial. She is part white and part Filipino. End of discussion.

Step 1. ATRL wants Olivia to flop.  Step 2. Olivia get a radio hit and #1 song.  Step 3. ATRL decides to ignore her success and pretend like she still flopped. It’s like y’all are trying to gaslig

  • Isn't she rush releasing a second single because of the underperformance of her lead? Sounds like playing it safe indeed backfired.

Anyone saying that Olivia is not white passing is Delulu.

Her facial features are white prominent.

How do you know this?

This era is looking like an effortless sophomore slump so I'm inclined to say yes! Try taking risks next time

Her first single literally debuted at #1 and still in top 10 6 weeks later, how is that a sophomore slump? You are delusional.

no one's remembering that **** by the end of next year please give it up.

Honestly, i think she probably had great material that was far too different from Sour so the label panicked and made her rework it to fit something that was mega-successful before. Especially since she's a young artist, new in the game and hasn't developed her voice enough to speak out against her management. The problem with this strategy is that people want to see something new. It's boring seeing a continuation of Sour. It also feels inauthentic as I'm sure she's grown so much more by now and has had new experiences that would make for better material

She needs to pull a pink panthress and get the claws out. Heck even get that spice girl on a remix

She is more involved in the creation of her music than any of her peers except for maybe Billie. Actually NONE of her peers have self-written songs:rip:
