This should have gotten the love Run Away with Me has.

Its a really cute bubblegum pop song. Even has that signature Carly synth pop sound on top of it.

Not gonna lie, this song is probably instrumental in helping re-discover my self worth and has partly stopped me from harming myself. Carly used to be in my top artists back in the EMOTION era, but this was a true dark horse highlight in her discography for me.

I turned on Dedicated for the first time in years today on a whim and WHEW I forgot how excellent the whole album is and Party For One is a whole bop 

Wow I love this thread bc I have been spinning my “Best of…Carly Rae Jepsen” playlist all week and have fallen in love with this song all over again!

 

it’s so slept on and even she has cut it from her setlist. Same with Now That I Found God. She really honestly is just a pop music witch- but this song is particularly underrated for the sheer emotion and feeling of self love it evokes. The super specific emotional phase of turning your affections and expressions of love inward after feeling so defeated after a relationship or rejection.
 

She’s the most excellent song writer of all time when it comes to expressing the emotions and phases of having and healing an anxious attachment style

I’m so glad you found strength in music. I totally feel you on this. Songs like these have helped me pick myself up off the bedroom floor, literally.  You’re perfect, you’re beautiful, you look like Linda Evangelista. Don’t ever forget it, stranger on the internet.
