Exactly. As a music lover I can tell there's a pre recorded vocal track but concert goers can enjoy the performance. The greatest acts use it occasionally to preserve their voices. 

 

This thread will turn into a "this artist lipsyncs badly!" So I won't name names. 

Most of today's artists are such half-ass performers, so they can't get away with it

These artists barely do choreo. There’s no reason for them to lip sync unless they truly have no talent. So yeah, bring that back. *shudders thinking about Selena Gomez’s AMA performance*

I mean unless it's very intense choreo that means the singer is out of breath and can't sing because of that, no. 

everyone complain whether they lip or pre-recorded or live or bad vocal day now like they never enjoy any performances except you are selling a lot, for today's standard, yes

That was some of the worst lip-syncing I've seen. I would have more respect if she just went there and didn't even pretend she was singing.

No, but I agree with others who mentioned a pre-recorded backing track. You don't have to be singing live 100% of the time, but I think as a music artist, you should be expected to at least sing.

They should at least use pre-recorded vocals, not the CD version
