Troye Sivan - "Rush"

Love love love this omg :jonny2:

He has such good taste when it comes to his aesthetics, the girls who get it get it omg

I also love how his discog seems like a natural progression. From the shy guy who suffers from love and struggles with judgement (BN), the middle of the road (Bloom), the bridge to the new phase (In a Dream) until he goes all out now (his upcoming era). So perfectly crafted. I stan!!!

  • Yes, people (that aren’t ridden with stress caused by extreme selfhate) generally live to be 80, 28 is extremely young   If you think people don’t party at 28 I feel extremely sorry for what

"only" 28   These gays and their Peter Pan complex, and then they wonder why no one takes them seriously   Song is a bop tho

  • He’s only 28, also why would gay people adhere to heteronormative age standards that were put in place to promote the nuclear family life? That’s got nothing to do with us   If you want to

I know exactly the bridge where he filmed the last scene. I could've been the token Asian gay in the video :rip:

His growth with aesthetics/sonics with every project has been so good. He’s really come into his own. :clap3:

Here comes the exhausting bodyshaming discussion with a video that has been used many times in the past to shame Troye for his body. As noted in the article HERE.

My God. Nothing interesting about this. So basic and autotuned.

no fats and no asians! only femmes

I actually noticed the different body types missing… He could’ve done better in that department

I mean, Anne gave us everything but we let it flop so it's what we deserve now.

I saw the diversity/different bodies discourse coming after watching the video :eatpopcorn:

I don't think it's okay to body shame Troye or anyone there, but I think we're allowed to have that conversation. For a video heavily inspired by queer nightlife and parties, its a bit lacking in representation and it's honestly such a wasted opportunity. I know that we can be harsh on our fellow gay and queer artists sometimes but even getting the sis @MonsterJohn for a 10 seconds cameo would have been cute. It's a really pretty video with high replay value so that was a bummer.

No cause why is this getting hype... i feel like i heard this song at least 400 times already. Nothing spectacular about this song. At least Padam Padam was a cute gem when it got ATRL hype. This is boring.

totally agree. It’s not okay to body shame anyone ever, but I was really expecting him to include some bigger guys here. it’s still not a huge deal though

I agree and I think it is very fair to have that discussion as well but I don't like how some see that as an excuse to go at the bodies of the people in the video. As shown in that tweet.

The discourse is always fine, but most of the accounts coming for him didn't support Sam Smith doing what they ask for or even worse, shamed them as well. Let the guy with marfan syndrome express himself as he wants

I mean, gays will shout at body representation when they’re the worst while judging other people’s bodies. It’s pretty hypocritical…

Yup exactly. Some of these tweets aren't giving cause how are you arguing for more diversity while.....shaming Troye and those in it :deadbanana4: These are the exact same people who make fun of Sam Smith and joke about how "unflattering" they look in their outfits and how they're making it worse for us. Smh.

the song is an absolute sex bop. but i’m disappointed that there wasn’t any east asian  representation in a video celebrating gay culture when asian exclusion is real enough in that aspect already. especially since he’s used k pop as his main promotional vehicle for rush if we’re being honest :rip:

Such a bop! :loud:

@Sexyzinger do you personally know any of the men in the video?

One of the guys in the video seems to be an OnlyFans creator. Here is his twitter:
