She’s an independent artist that’s why

Whenever I hear Victoria Monet's name I always think it's the girl from Victorious

 

Because She’s drama free and boring. 

Her music is great but doesn’t get her identity across enough. I only knew her from Ariana but her music has been far better since Jaguar so  I need her to get more of her personality out there

She is SO talented, her EPs "Nightmares & Lullabies: Act 1" and "Nightmares & Lullabies: Act 2" are so good, y'all have to give it a listen.

Music not catchy enough...

Experience was a great direction but her music is not very commercial overall... I don't see her having a Rhythmic hit or even a Top40 one.

it's not like she gets any push outside of playlisting though so i'm not surprised. "Experience" should've been serviced to radios

Independent artists can only get so much push. I think her fanbase is growing now!

she signed to RCA from Smoke onwards so now we have someone to blame it on!

she has built a nice little fanbase tho, which tbh is enough for some artists

Experience genuinely would've been a #1 smash for Ariana in 2019 had she released it, she even sounds like her when Victoria doesn't always  

 

I don't know. She just doesn't really have the it factor to make people care a lot about what she does, despite the whole package being fine usually, but she clearly has talent given the amount of input she's had in one of the biggest pop star of this generation's hits.

bland personality and it's ok she isnt made to be a well-known star as long as she's happy with her fans and casual r&b audience.

Female songwriters most known for writing for big artists always have a hard time making it big with their own music. Sia and Bebe are a few exceptions.

I totally agree. Music is the problem here. Those two last single are completely forgettable. She acts, moves and looks like a 00's star but sounds like any random girl from the 2023 boring RnB scene.

True, but prior to that, she was indie and didn't have a big machine behind her. Ariana has been her biggest platform, but that's Victoria being in the background. 

 

Slow but steady works for some artists. I would've loved for Jaguar to have more streams and a certification, but I think Victoria is on her way now and I'm excited for what she's going to do career wise!
