Daisies by Katy Perry appreciation thread

Quite possibly the greatest song in Katy's discography and one of the greatest songs all of time. I truly think Billboard sabotaged the sales of this song it makes literally no sense why it didn't go #1 for longer.

She had no business Mothering this hard. Should have been #1 for 20 weeks. A bigger hit than Dark Horse.

Discuss.

It's a great song, but the sound was already dated and the chorus was basically a ripoff from this Guetta/Anne-Marie song :gaycat6:

I don't think Billboard sabotaged anything, it's her best performing song since NRO and her last solo top 40. Let's remember the songs released before it (Harleys In Hawaii and Never Worn White) didn't even chart

Daisies (Can't Cancel Pride) deserved at least 20 weeks at #1 :giraffe:

This is what I came for

It’s in her top 30 for sure, but Thinking of You and 365 are superior for sure.

This song has held up well for me. Helped me get through 2020 along with so many other songs. Loved it back then, still love it now.

I love this song so much. :gaycat4:
Gave me so much happiness in the pandemic lockdowns:spring: and now is one of my fave songs to play when im outside traveling with my parents:celestial2:
Such a vulnerable record :bunny:

such a good song. if only the album was more like this :coffee2:

The album is actually incredible and shits on her previous efforts

Such a powerful great song, I used to be obsessed when it came out, production is generic but effective. Just was on repeat the other day, I still like it very much.

not even Witness

 :bibliahh:

Not the praise for Diseases... one of the most vacant and personally-meaningless songs of her entire career (which is really saying something nnn)

The production on the album alone eclipses her previous efforts at pop perfection

This is one of the most accurate posts in ATRL history, thank you for serving taste.

OT: It's cute and definitely was a moment (for a week), but it's absolutely not one of her best or memorable songs. However, I'm always here for Katy praise :clap3:

Such a beautiful song.

The way she kept us fed throughout quarantine :jonnycat:

I guess you're out of your mind until it finally happens

This is a beautiful song , and I love all the live performances she did

Im still sad she wasn’t able to record the initial video concept planned
