Two sophomore triumphs after debut albums of insane longevity.

 

In hindisght to Fearless and what we’re witnessing now with SOS, which album feels bigger in their initial run by metrics of omnipresence and album-single sales?

Fearless has 2 massive hits that are still widely remembered ( I can easily vouch for that in America , Ocenia and Asia)

 

SOS is new album and it will take lot of time to reach that stage.

Fearless spent 11 weeks at #1. 

 

Fearless had sold more by that time but that's mainly because it takes longer to accumulate units in the streaming era compared to the digital era. So yeah, they are pretty on par imo for their initial run. Both with a lot of weeks at #1, and a massive hit single despite not reaching #1. 

 

Fearless had immense longevity, SOS looks like it will also have that. But in the end, Fearless accumulated 10M units in the US and 20M in total WW, so SOS has a lot of catching up to do.

We already KNOW Taylor is SUPER succesful u don't need to spew her stats on a constant basis its rather annoying

If you don't want to see any Taylor stats, just don't go in a thread that compares the success of two albums, one of which happens to be a Taylor one. 

 

And if highlighting the success of SZA's was so important to you, then for your information SOS is a 10 weeks #1 so far, not "6+".

Then maybe next time instead of coming at me for "spewing" stats in a thread that's specifically made to compare stats, use the 5s it took you to write down that message to make a quick Google search and have an accurate comment in, once again, a stats-based thread?

Why do y’all like to compare decades-old albums with albums that are only a few months old. We have no idea how SOS will pan out through the next 15 years so this question is moot
