Taylor no.7 on Spotify Brazil surprised?

Featured Replies

There are only 3 non Portuguese singing artist in the top 50 of Spotify Brazil artist chart.

#7 Taylor Swift

#28 The Weeknd

#38 Coldplay

Taylor also holds the record for the biggest album debut EVER on Spotify Brazil :rip:

ATRL told us that she isnt known outside of the US. So this shocking to me tbh

Bonus shes the only non spanish singing artist in the top 40 of Spotify Argentina sitting pretty at #16 :clap3:

Note: Both these markets are among the top 5/10 markets on Spotify.

Allianz Parque and River Plate stadium are crying :duca:

ATRL would have us believing otherwise :giraffe:

She's the biggest international artist in South America for years already.

They hate to see it

It's really funny how desperate people are on ATRL to call her "local" when all actual receipts proves otherwise. But for them feelings are more important than reality :coffee2:

@gustavothehuman how many stadium dates do you think she can book? When she does 5 in Brazil>>>>:foxaylove2:

Anyone who lives in reality is not surprised, because she’s the biggest musician on a global scale by far and has been for several years.

And they hate to see it, which is why they're pretending we're still in the 2006-2010 era. It's also not a surprise that when they wanna act as if their faves are more global they often use receipts from over 10 years ago and not more recent ones.

She's only doing 3. We even know the dates because the stadiums leaked it.

Not bad, even if she could easily do more.

Yeah it’s pretty hilarious how the local narrative exists because people can’t move on from the past. Just like these same people still make sexist jokes about her relationships after she was in one for 6 whole years because they can’t move on from old, stale drags :rip:

Actually it’s really impressive that she’s achieved true global domination when she started out in country - a local genre that usually doesn’t get any traction outside US and Canada. Plus her label was a no1curr start up and didn’t even have the funds to release her debut album globally until 2009, they struggled with Fearless too :jonny:

Now she’s dominating even in Brazil, truly one of the most interesting trajectories ever for a musical act.

She could always add more due to overwhelming demand. She’ll probably have to!

Look at the streams Taylor you have the DEMAND :gaylorcat1:

No. why would I think the most popular and global artist in the world right now would not be charting well in Brazil?

Exactly. So many stans on this site are living in the past, it's not even funny. And they're so proud of it too, which makes it even more sad to watch :rip:

Her first date for Lover Fest sold out quickly, but the second still had tickets available when Covid came around. I'm going to say three to four stadiums in São Paulo. Not sure about Rio.
