I agree with this take! It's not like I hate the first half of the album which still has a few career highlights like loml or The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived but I wouldn't consider the production on many of these tracks as something fresh or argue that they're that original. It does not necessarily mean these songs are bad, however I can understand some of the criticism directed towards this part. I believe The Anthology would shine on its own if it was released as a standard version or for example as TS12, the production and vocal mixing doesn't hurt the songs like in case of some of the TTPD Side A tracks. I have so many favorites off The Anthology I hope she will do them justice during the European leg of the tour that I'm attending
