Idgi what’s the shade

People calling out 30's suspicious numbers somehow are 'swifties' now. The numbers IFPI reported for that album didn't add up so people called it on overshipping

30 was overshipped. Deal with it

And yet the IFPI placement is now confirmed as being derived from actual sales :clap3:

There is no way 30 sold more than Sour in 2021.

Sour was a non factor outside the Anglosphere.

I don't see any mention of 30 in that tweet though. It's a known fact that the IFPI counts shipments as sales, unless you actually think reputation sold 4.5M pure in 2017 alone. 30 was certified 3x Platinum in January 2022 and still hasn't reached 3M units in the US to this day, over a year later. It was overshipped, deal with it

And yet it massively outsreamed 30 on Spotify and even on Youtube. Bad Bunny is also a non factor outside of the american factor he still had the biggest album of the year.

You do know IFPI sales==shipment

I am trying to find the shade :rip:

Proof enough right here :dies:

This isn't shade :deadbanana2: they didn't even put those disclaimers there in response to anything, you're just making things up. Since they decided to drop their vinyl + pure charts (linked by OP) out of nowhere after we all thought they were discontinued, I'm assuming they found it appropriate to clear up the technicalities regarding each chart listing.

Tyler :clap3: CMIYGL was such a success. His longevity is honestly so underrated, he has consistently had successful albums even as rap has declined from its peak of 2017-2018.

SOUR charted all its tracks in almost all countries on first day spotify, something 30 failed to do in latam & Asia

If SOUR was a non factor outside the Anglosphere, idk what 30 was...

OT: that says nothing cause of 2 things

1) This is said about the 2022 charts nothing about previous years
2) A shipment is a unit sold to a reseller that are stores so a shipment could be labelled as a unit sold if IFPI wanted

It was certified 3x Platinum in JANUARY 2022 and it’s JUST NOW getting to 2.85M units (not even the full 3M) 14 MONTHS AFTER THAT CERTIFICATION??

:ahh:

So it hasn't reached 3M units over a year after being certified 3x Platinum, just like I said
