They are getting closer and closer to us 

As research is developing in unprecedented ways to find out the core of the so far unexplainable UFOs/UPAs phenomenon that has been a mystery either for as long as humans have existed, or since the early 1900s, or since recent years, whatever you believe in - the US government has now stopped mocking/covering up discussions of such topics and have instead confirmed to be expanding research on the topic, we know these flying objects have the capabilities to move in unexplainable ways and speeds and basically zoom away when we attempt to chase them, and to shut down our technology such as nuclear weapons and human flying objects.

 

The US has claimed Joe Biden is giving more resource to the issue and have confirmed the existence of such objects as something that has existed for many many years, saying it is not an issue for the US but one for the entire world.

With the developments of recent months I thought we could use this thread, now that the US has 100% confirmed their existence in unprecedented ways (despite whether you believe there are still massive coverups going on or not)

I mean US is the biggest military power and they probably want to learn everything they can about the weapons etc. before establishing communication with us. 
 

If I was about to visit a new planet I’d want to know how much damage they can do.

Most countries with as advanced tech as the US would be even more secretive than the US has been (China, Russia, etc) they would keep the information to themselves and not share it, but UFOs sightings and experiences are definitely a global phenomenon, try watching the videos I linked above! even the white house says it is an issue for the entire world not just the US, but maybe the aliens are obsessed with the US like the rest of the world is lmao

Nice thread idea, this subject is finally (publicly) being taken seriously 

it is a fun subject to discuss and make theories about, but if the first contact actually happens during our lifetime... I would be freaked out and scared ngl

I noticed that James Fox's The Phenomenon documentary has been uploaded for free viewing on YouTube. It covers the last 100 or so years of UFO sightings, from all over the world. The documentary includes interviews and historical records.. this is a well-researched movie, for anyone who wants to learn more about the most notable sightings.

Thanks for sharing, it's crazy how on one hand it feels so much closer to humans (public at least) knowing more about the origins of them, on the other hand nothing that has happened this year is anything different than what's been happening forever, I just hope it's not another 100 more years of that while we still know nothing

My opinion on this matter is very simple. Intelligent life somewhere on the universe? Yes, of course. Is it possible for that intelligent life to find us? Hard to answer.

 

My first instinct would be no, but it depends. If intelligent life is rare, the universe is so unbelievably big, just thinking about where to start looking seems like a daunting task even for a civilization that has solved the problem of intergalactic travel. Our footprint in the universe is so miniscule, how would anyone know we're here?

 

However, if intelligent life is still uncommon but somehow not a statistical anomaly, then it's possible yes. Meaning, if somehow an advanced civilization exists on the Milky Way, or many, then I can't imagine it'd be too hard for them to find us. But an advanced civilization existing in the Milky Way would then beg the question of, how is it that there's no trace of it? Or at least a trace we can detect? 

 

Sure, maybe advanced civilizations have found ways to conceal their footprints to protect themselves from hostility. But, that would then suggest the universe is filled with advanced civilizations... And I don't know about that.
