i think it has to be jack unfortunately. it’s so easy to tell nowadays if he produced a song cause his quirks never change… love his work on 1989 and melodrama though…

Many people get recognised by the Grammys years after they do their best work - sometimes decades after their best work.

 

There seems to be a pretty clear consensus that Jack did his best writing and production work with each of his artists, on albums in the last decade and not this one, with the possible exception of folklore and that one was mostly produced by Aaron Dessner. For Annie Clark, many people would say her best Jack Antonoff produced album was Masseduction and her best albums were pre Jack Antonoff.

 

This list is far too generous to Jack, I'm not sure how they could put Masseduction above Strange Mercy.

Timbaland tbh I mean he’s a non factor today but his hits are very remembered receiving a lot of praise and streams even to this day but his productions are so limited because he has a singular sound but it’s not like he has a lot to evolve or show with his beats and things… which is sad because if he were a mastermind he would still be relevant to this day producing hits while evolving

I do agree about her latest ep is quite underwhelming for her caliber.

I'll say Jack is a good producer but he's overrated by Taylor herself, if she wants to just work with him for the rest of her career  whether they're having an affair or not
