Cool performance! That instrumental part was composed by Shakira. And apparently, Beyoncé sent Shakira flowers this week, probably because of her new song (maybe it was her first time learning about Pique cheating).

Well, she had a foot surgery. She's unable to move as much as she usually does.

The song itself is not vocally challenging, so she didn't have much space to show her vocals. If you were wondering why her vocals are being praised, I recommend you watch some videos of her performing other songs. Her vocals were incredible.
