So it's very well established at this point that Chloe is having difficulty with her label and is struggling to get an album out, presumably as the label aren't happy with the performance of the singles she's released so far.

 

It got me thinking though, Tinashe released an album length mixtape Nightride despite having label difficulties, largely as she did most of the work off her own back. Jojo also did something similar. Now when it comes to someone like Normani, we know she simply does not possess the talent to pull of a feat like this without an army of co-writers, but Chloe literally used to produce ChloexHalle songs and can obviously write. She clearly could put something together if she wanted to to keep her fans appeased, but why won't she?

because that would impact her schedule of hosting full on photoshoots in order to post pics on insta

Basically all the main R&B girls (SZA, Summer, Kehlani, Jhene, HER) released little EPs and mixtapes before an official debut album.

 

Very odd how both her and Normani’s team are hellbent on trying to make them main girls before they’re allowed to drop a full body of work

The label wants her to drop a album instead probably 

She went solo too soon (because of TLM), but what's done is done and she needs to drop something to keep building her base. An EP, a mixtape, a trillion features, it doesn't matter. She's nearing Normani territory and that's not a good thing.

 

For some reason, her label seems oblivious to the success of artists like Doja and Megan, who dropped many projects, built a solid base, and eventually crossed over to the mainstream. Instead, they keep expecting a CIL/BOMT/Complicated situation where the first single blows up immediately and estabilishes her as a massive pop star. With the exception of Olivia, that simply doesn't happen anymore.

Exactly, and Summer's breakthrough was because Drake remixed a song on her mixtape.

 

No one is gonna keep checking for girls who drop a few singles a year and nothing else 

Of unreleased/scrapped songs? Sure, I guess if fans really want something and she's down, do that. But I'd think that she would rather focus on delivering her debut rather than focusing on a mixtape.

 

Also, she's made a lot of music already as part of a duo, so it's not as if her releasing mixtapes will act as ways for people to get to know her before an official debut. She's been booked and ready for a while and has been on people's radar without a mixtape.

I don’t think anyone cares anymore. 

Chloe x Halle have been in the studio recently so maybe the focus is more towards doing that instead. I have suspicions Chloe was hoping that she would be able to have the solo album out whilst Halle was busy with TLM so she would lift her own profile a bit as well, but it kind of fell through and now Halle will be free after May or June to do an album cycle.

She had some nice social media hype going for her in the last 2 years but rn it seems like no one cares anymore.

We need new ChloeXHalle instead

make more money from posting pic/videos and followers than singer. otherwise, keep all demos to new CxH album and rework from there 

I hope she doesn’t get Raye’d or Normani’d she is so talented and her output has been incredible so far.

Agree to both statements, but especially the former. Whoever is handling her release strategy/marketing is using a very out of date formula. If I were her I would KEEP releasing songs, put out some EPs, and do whatever to continue building a base and hoping one thing sticks. That is how you navigate the streaming era as a new artist, not releasing a song every 9 months with a big promo campaign thinking it will be your breakout success, as she is currently doing.

It is absolutely wild to me how she majorly did all the work for CxH, with there being songs solely produced by her, but so far all of her solo singles have had a large list of writers. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but does she not trust her own work? And so far those songs don't even match the quality of Ungodly Hour so

Maybe the material is too similar to what she has already released which means it'll likely flop if she puts it out. The audience wants more Do Its from her aka THE song of 2020

The ironic part is that this is exactly what CxH did (and it worked).  They spent most of their career without a hit, but kept pushing and developing a base for themselves and, eventually, Do It took off. Have Mercy debuted so high thanks to the word of mouth of Ungodly Hour.

 

Chloe's team HAVE the recipe, they just need to apply it.

She only exists for the reaction video YouTubers and the twitter stans that will make videos of her go viral captioning “YASSSS SHE ATE”

She should have released the album the same month Have Mercy came out & just released singles from it. 
 

At this point all the hype is gone and literally only a small group cares

 

 And might have ruin her sister music career
