Olivia and Conan were quick to embrace Taylor as their mom and quick to find emancipation. What went wrong?

Is Taylor too much of a businesswoman? did she use them? Btw, Conan's writing is spectacular, still too soon to tell about Olivia.

 

 

 

I used to believe Olivia was trying to detach her image from Taylor's but this is something else.

They got enough of Taylor's psychopath stans.

Controversial but i feel like Olivia only linked herself to Taylor for a very quick fanbase and you cant tell me otherwise. She disposed Taylor immediately after the label gave her the green check for SOUR album campaign to take off. Its sad Taylor fell for it. Thats why neither of them ever interacted since the BRITs in 2021.

I enjoy the music of all 3 artists, whether they speak to each other or not. 

They both used Taylor and only one succeeded. That's such a business savy move from Olivia. Taylor is a businesswoman, Taylor would approve 

 

To be fair Taylor used Olivia and Conan for Fearless TV promo. It was two way business deal

Taylor dropped her once she started costing her money

I don’t think Olivia would have had such a breakout moment if she hadn’t linked herself to Taylor Swift and, most importantly, the Swifties. It was a smart move to instantly get a huge fan base. Swifties wanted to support someone who they believed was a fellow Swiftie.

 

I’m curious to see how her sophomore album will perform and if she will ever try again to overtly get the support of Taylor’s fans.

I get the opposite vibe. I think she really was a fan, displayed her stanning too much and got burned when Taylor and Paramore went for a share of the royalties (which, in the latter case, was basically a robbery). Her team probably sat her down and told her to cool down the stanning (of anyone, not just Taylor), since it was starting to affect her career. It's like Toni Braxton said: it's one thing to be inspired, but you should never hang up these girls' posters in your wall.

 

In some ways, Olivia did use Taylor (even if she didn't actually plan to), as being an open Taylor stan allowed her to get the Swifties on her side. Had that not hapenned, I think they would've turned against her like how Whitney fans probably didn't like Mariah when she first started out.

 

At the same time, Taylor definitely used Olivia, as having someone from the newer generation constantly paying their respect to you will always be a flex.
