I kind of disagree. I think they would have more haters in this thread if they debuted under SM, but I do believe that NJ would have been big regardless of what Big 4 company they debuted under, because they have been marketed so well.

People are getting too complicated over silly things, new jeans may have some influence from other groups like red velvet but they re doing their own thing, and red velvet is still having success after 8-9 years in the industry.

 

Just the same way new jeans success will inspire other companies and their groups because at the end of the day it's just business and companies will put out what's trending to make money

Fact is both groups are not more simmilar that they could be to other groups too so is not an iphone-ipad case

Even if MHJ has moved companies, she created something different enough that the credit doesn't stay further than with herself (and the NWJs members because of how charming they are but it seems like people are not ready for that conversation)

TWICE also had extreme competition last year when they released Between 1&2. The way they could've easily gone #1 on BB200 last year and become the first Kpop gg to do so, if JYP just released the album in any other week

Everything that Hee-jin took from her old projects, she used before RV.

that's the exactly point of the whole project
NewJennies is the dream group that SM never allowed Hee-jin to have
This group would never haver happened with SM heavy hand, it would be a very different group in the end

Isn't one of the biggest differences (artistry wise) between RV and NJ that NJ actually writes their own music? Literally all of NJ's hits have a group member working as a lyricist on them, whereas RV gets fed with old demos in the vault. It's really easy to see how creative input leads to better quality.
