And taking that melon was pretty much 70%+ of those numbers during the 2nd generation period, "Genie" could easily be #1 on gaon since it was #1 on melon, maybe even 2 weeks at #1 considering they've had a #3-#1 initial chart-run

 

Also that's a very silly discussion since both were huge national hits and left a mark in k-pop's history.
