Also Haerin is more popular than Danielle, in fact despite the push Danielle is the less popular ones with Hyein. But Hyein is more popular in SK.

NewJennies members just lack individuality as of right now, they sort of all mesh into one whether it be in looks or in vocals or dancing.

It's part of their appeal - their brand is their band and their sound, moreso than any individual member. They remind me a bit of Japanese girlgroups in that way. I dont think its really a drag its just a different approach to marketing

well this is true

they all have the girl-next-door image and i still can’t figure out whose voice is who while listening to them (they all sound good so there is no shade, inb4 someone quotes)

 

there is no unpopular member so it’s clearly working for them

plus everyone is getting solo oppurtunuties

Hence I don't even bother learning their  names, I don't know who is who 

 

They functions as one component. I guess they just need time to grow and amass interest individually.

BP is the perfect example ‪of all members having their own “brands” along with the group

 

Jennie - the IT girl, fashionista

Lisa - the dancer, tomboy rapper

Jisoo - husky voice, korean visual

Rosé‬ - the fake indie voice, the “artist” of the group

 

IMO it’s one of the biggest parts of their appeal

It's likely they'll do 1.8M or even 2M first week at this point for Drama. With two albums coming next year as rumored ( Korean studio album and JP debut ) they might overtake IVE or any GGs before twice as the 2nd best selling GG 

 

 

Now imagine if IU announces a comeback next month 

I know their names but I can't pick the NJ members apart, except for Danielle. It's a marketing strategy tho, might be a HYBE thing or MHJ doing what she did with early RV - they're more of a "concept" group, what they are trying to convey with their stuff as a group is more important than the girls.

 

Meanwhile LSRF is the group where the girls get to shine as individuals bc it fits their "fearless" brand, you can't be a bad ***** if you don't have a personality - even if it's a manufacted one.
