Why sorry when it's true. SNSD sets the standard not just musically and conceptually but in terms of performance and delivery as well. None of the GGs that follows has managed to serve as hard as them in all fonts.

I'm kinda a sucker for ballads/mid tempos and I think the 2nd gen had many groups that were great at singing + performing them live.

Many of my fav SNSD performances are for their ballads.

 

 

2NE1, despite their more known badass image, also had great ballads and when they performed live it was just as good.

Taste but Soshi's Japanese Ballads were more sculpted to perfection imo

 

 

 

 

 

I think it also has something to do with the fact that 2nd Gen as a whole had more solid and competent SINGERS. They prioritize vocals and live performance  than looking cute on camera
