I'm seeing the references for their previous eras on this MV Teaser

 

I don't like any of the two LSF singles, they fell hard for me.

 

The performances are great but the music is not giving this time

EVERGLOW will never be big in sales or in Korea sadly 

SKZ is well-known for having a signature pots-and-pans noise 

 

At lease we can acknowledge they are consistent with their craft lmao

Stray Kids built huge success with this sound and every era they make a new big wave of fans to get into them. There's no point for switching up. And yes, I don't what people are expecting

Its possible i mean yena is kinda smashing under the same company, kakao is basically chinese company too... Its just that everglow was mismanaged from the beginning, they ignored aisha and onda who are actually the most interesting member and focusing more with mia, seyeon and yiren.. While those three are talented they didnt command the stage loke they lack charisma.. Eu is a nonfactor her rap/vocal is terrible not even autotune can save her voice

I think the final nail in EVERGLOW's coffin in Korea was the Yiren bowing scandal that had to do with Chinese culture. That was the breaking point for them.

 

XG is in the same boat but their strategy is smarter - immediately pandering to the West with English-only songs with a Hip hop - RnB style + occassional appearances at Kpop shows going viral here and there

I don't even think it’s the company I legit think it’s the material and the way they market. They have like 0 decent CFs, changed their leader to be Sihyeon, and cannot choose the right members for the lines. It is just sort of hopeless for them which is a shame

Thing is that they are still trying to appeal to the East. They need to just go full-on western appeal a la LA DI DA 

All we care is that Changbin looks HOT in the comeback! As long as that is given to us we are FINE! Hope he bends over a few times

 

 

Stray Mids vs NOISENEXTDOOR for worst song of the year ahhhh  

Adverglow had their momentum at debut, Bon Bon Chocolat was shaping up good for them, it's even their biggest song in the US. 

And the fact that they have Hush and You Don't Know Me (their B-Side) doing the same numbers than Adios and Dun Dun Dun in the US.

 

And worst is their biggest albums are the albums that were supported by La Di Da and First.

 

Basically the song that introduced them Bon Bon Chocolat generated quite the buzz and attention around them. 

 

But the songs that should have created and growing their fanbase (aka Adios and Dun Dun Dun) well the company spent more time buying ads and making people they were bigger than they were. I mean remember at one point Everglow was top 5 of the most viewed GG on YouTube (which was 80% generated by ads) yet those views didn't translate on their sales. 

 

And the songs that should have been the songs that start their peak and glory (La Di Da and First) well because the fanbase wasn't created, and they had 0 gp appeal so they couldn't book cf that were interesting. 

 

And the worst part is they don't even have a Chinese fanbase even though they had a Chinese active member over there.

I mean You're was blocked the first day of Release by BP and ended #2 on the first day, by the end of the first week she was #7 daily and #13 weekly by the following week she was N/A.

One thing that also hurt EVERGLOW was the infamous Mia payola, since she was eating up 98 % of the lines, screen time, center, dance breaks etc. and people were just tired and wasn't here for that which the company just simply didn't understand. Like I have never in my life seen a Kpop group where 1 member is favored as much as Mia  In case y'all didn't know, EVERGLOW has the worst line distribution in 4th gen 

 

Onda is the real star, but the company just keeps paying her dust!
