Going to get conspiratorial here but I sincerely believe SM is purposefully holding back aespa to build hype for ae1 when they stop playing games.

Girls had most of it's tracks prereleased and specifically ignored the metaverse concept, keeping it back for the title track.

 

My World is looking to be the same thing where we've heard most of the songs and they were were normal music. The remaining 2 tracks are almost certainly going to be kwangya'd.

 

SM knows what we want and is teasing out giving it to us and also purposefully spreading the aespa hype thin. Even Big Bang had their album sales stagnate when they prereleased the entire album. It never works, not even in the western markets SM is obsessed with chasing atm. SM does too much market research to not realize this, they don't make this mistake with any other act.

 

I'm thinking the second they stop charting with their titles OR album sales slow down, I think SM will pull the plug on the mismanaged rollouts and aespa will peak.
