I don’t care, Mandalay. Mariah is not an all-time vocalist. Keep saying it and you might convince Hope, but you won’t be convincing anybody else so dream on :heart2:

Oh stop you also Stan for Adele who is singing off key every night but praised to high heavens. Mariah is one the best vocalists of all time.

Madonna has never close to Janet/Paula Abdul as a singer or performer. That's just marketing for her and her mean hateful fans. :)

Leave Mariah alone.

She is a legend with a legendary career and nothing will ever change that.

Yeah yall are crazy. Mariah been a force and legend since she started.

Yes, she could do much more with her voice than either one.

It's sad she'll have to pass for her legacy to be respected and for the trolling to end. Same exact thing happened with Whitney.

She should just stop doing live concerts. It's time to accept the truth. She already has tons of money. Just enjoy your life. Travel around the world. Do other fun things. Get the hottest guys. It's sad to see a fallen legend like that.

What is with ATRL and troll haters hijacking threads? Get over yourselves

She should've rescheduled. If she was sick and couldn't deliver vocal wise, then she's disappointing fans either way. By rescheduling she can at least make sure she's in good voice when the new date comes around. I would've been disappointed if I payed for that :chick3:

She just ate up last night's show after recovering from whatever illness that was. She's obviously never going to recover a level close to her 90s-early 00s vocals, but that's impossible...vocal chords age and she has nodules. That doesn't mean people don't want to see her live as evidenced by these sold-out arena shows.

This topic is SO tired. It's serving late 00s Whitney disrespect.

Unlike you, I’m quick to criticise the artists I like when they don’t perform up to par. I have been continuously critical of Adele’s vocal performances as of late and I would never be so delusional as to claim she is an all-time vocalist.

Believe it or not, when it comes to vocal ability, I am generally very objective. I can recognise when someone is a supreme vocalist, regardless of whether I like them or not. With Mariah, she was a brilliant vocalist at her peak, no doubt about it. But even then, she was not an all-time vocalist. She was always out-sung by nearly every diva she sang with, and she never really had the power in her voice that allowed her to shine in the way someone like Whitney did.

Mariah at her peak had supreme vocal agility and was almost certainly one of the better female pop vocalists in the world. But that does not make her an all-time vocalist :rip: And my opinion on that ain’t changing. It doesn’t help that almost all of her iconic vocal performances are mimed.

And just to say, I actually do like Mariah and a lot of her music. I don’t have anything against her personally.

You can keep saying this, but it won't stop looking ridiculous and objectively false. :rip:
