I mean I'd be here for another top tier album like Caution, but I also recognize that it's unlikely, she's elderly, and she has an enormous legacy/impact outside of Xmas. I guess everything else is just a cherry on top now bc who else is owning a whole season each year

I truly can’t believe how this song gets even bigger every damn year. Like I get it’s cuz streaming in general has grown but like how can she outdo the numbers she did last year and we KNOW she’s going to?

 

The way I am so ****** excited for Christmas and for Mariah to, once again, rule the world for the next two months. Xmas is such a wonderful time to be alive as someone who loves the holidays so much and then you add the fact that I’m a lamb and it’s just-

She released a new original XMAS song last year and it flopped into oblivion. If she released an original bop this time of the year it would literally be crickets. She deserves another non-holiday smash but she’s also got 19 #1s already and is in her 50s. Why even bother at this point?

This. Madonna, Xtina, and Celine haven’t charted in years with new songs either. It’s part of aging for a woman in the music industry, sadly.
