More like the British Katy vs Gaga for me. She was nominated for 2 categories and lost both while Dido nominated for 3 and won 2 -she just lost album of the year while winning British female artist and British single-

I don’t think she hated her. I think she was just being cheeky and having a dark sense of humor. Also Amy was doing stuff highly influenced by neosoul and 60s american music and Dido was just adult contemporary of its time, so they were a very random pair to compare lol joss stone was a more obvious match and her popularity declined once amy took off

Amys reaction from 0:22 to 0:26 is something I forgot, that I totally stole from her.

Dido sucks, to be honest. She was a fluke and is rightfully forgotten. Sorry!

I don't think she actually hated her, she more just hated the fact that artists like Dido, Jamie Cullum, Joss Stone, Katie Melua etc were being credited at the time in the British press as the faces of the new jazz revival alongside her, even though their music really wasn't jazz, more like folk-pop/easy listening or soul/pop, whereas Amy was a legit jazz singer in the true sense of the genre. Amy was also the type of artist who was completely honest, and if she didn't like someone's music she wouldn't pretend she did. In the second video she is obviously being facetious.

Amy was actually talented. Dido has been always making elevator music with the personality of a potato 

She had no taste I fear x

 

Both are iconic tho, but I prefer Dido x
