It just seems like the narrative isnt there for her this time. 30 wasn’t a cultural behemoth like 21 and wasn’t the comeback of the century like 25. 
 

The album has no longevity, only peaked during it’s initial release and I feel like her cancelling her residencies made the industry sour against her.

 

Is there a chance that Adele will not be sweeping the Grammys this time?

She will probably sweep again.  She is a critical darling and white.

1. Not only big commercial successes win. 

2. She's white so she stands a great chance. 

3. The nominations aren't even out yet. How can she lose what she hasn't been submitted or got nominated for? 

4. Who the hell would know?

Are you forgetting her campaign is going to kick into gear later in the year when Vegas starts. They will release the 3rd video and probably a big promo tour.

1. You wanting a hit thread or

2. You fearing she might win over your fave or

3. You fearing she won win this time. (Which is ridiculous because she has won more than most ever get to already, isn't it enough?)

I don't think Grammy voters really change their opinion on artists, regardless of the narrative of a certain album cycle or whatever. 

 

Plus Kendrick/Bey/maybe even Silk Sonic voters might cancel each other out to give Adele even more of an advantage. But Silk Sonic swept pretty hard this year too so... it's hard to say. And who knows if there'll be a surprise inclusion with a good chance (like Jon Batiste).

Easy On Me does deserve something and it was a gigantic hit so I can't see it losing 

 

The album is good imo but definitely not AOTY

Well she won over Lemonade I thk k she could win again and honestly who cares about these fraudulent awards anyway

I think Bey's AOTY is too overdue for Adele to win again, specially considering 30 was a frontloaded era.

Renaissance already feels bigger culturally and will likely have more longevity than 30.

let me describe this in 3 reasons why 30 is 100% winning AOTY.

 

Firstly, 30 is a stunning record. Easy On Me had the entire world listening. Its her best album to date, critics agree. The album is deeply personal and her most mature album to date. no denying. ITs the quintessential coming of age record of the last 10 years by a MPG. And the GRAMMYs LOVE the sound of albums like these. Just look at the album of the year winners of the century so far. The album has soul and jazz elements which the Grammys praise most of the time, they prefer traditional sounds.

 

Secondly, Adele performed the album on TV specials with CBS and Paramount +. If u didn't know, CBS is a major stakeholder for the Recording Academy and the GRAMMYs get broadcasted through CBS and Paramount + each year. These things all go hand in hand darling. Dont forget the political side of thingz! I think GRAMMY voters (whom are 90% white industry / entertainment people or companies in hollywood) really appreciate Adele for doing those TV specials with CBS promoting the album and giving them the HIGHEST ratings for a TV special in years. The perfect thank you gift would be an pre-disclosed Album of the Year win me thinks 

 

Lastly, I know the girls want Bey to win. The Bey album is honestly too gay for the Grammys to be even considered. Also 30 has like 10 total credited artists, Renaissance has over 300. Theres no way the Grammys will award it to Bey for this exact reason. Logistically i dont even know if that would be possible for them. They wont allow that to happen for sure.

 

If not Adele, Harry or Silk Sonic have the most chance.

Taylor have 11 Grammys from 42 nominations, I thought we all moved past this delusional narrative that she's a Grammy darling.

I just don't see it. She was still successful and this album was extremely acclaimed by critics, compared with 21 and 25. Honestly, the chances are still there.
