but the Album of The Year should go to Beyonce

She has never delivered the body of work as cohesive as this album

 

The production is stunning, the concept is there,

she serves her best vocal performance since 4, the transitions between tracks are iconic, no skip between the album

The samples are executed properly

She brought the afro-beat, dance-hall, boggie, funk, disco and mixed it very well with dance-pop and R&B

it's like the perfect combination of her roots and her mainstream sound

 

Just a perfect album

It would be one of the better AOTY picks in recent memory, but watch Adele win again. 

 

She ABSOLUTELY deserves it, but you just know Adele is gonna win

 

And she's definitely gonna pull another "omg, I don't deserve this!!11!" stunt knowing damn well she could've not submitted or rescinded her nomination like Drake did this year

Deserves yes, but I don’t think she should win cause the drama >>> recognition.

 

Adele winning a 3rd AOTY for a mid album is just the kind of pop culture emergency we need. 

Oddly enough I think this is her strongest project but I don’t care if she doesn’t get AOTY . 
 

ST had the surprise drop and Lemonade had the film which I thought made them locks.

 

But it’s less of a slap in the face if Renaissance loses since nothing was really done to “raise the bar”. Then again, maybe that’s what the voters want - music with no distractions. 

Absolutely. The fact that she didn’t for her Self Titled album (a genuinely groundbreaking/industry shifting album) is a tragedy in of itself. Unless there’s something unbelievable that’s released by the end of September, she should hands down win it, and it’ll be long overdue 

It would be a bigger snub than Beyoncé or Lemonade, but she doesn’t need it.

If it were announced today, yes she should and would win!

There is not a chance Adele is winning  25 was the clear front runner in its year due to its mammoth success, which 30 doesn’t come close to. 
 

Also the 30 Era was over before 2022 even came around

It's not my AOTY but out of all the mainstream releases its definitely the best one and it deserves it. But I don't see it happening and honestly who cares at this point after Lemonade lost.

dont yall know the new Grammys rule for AOTY that every single credited person earns a thropy ? beyonce has like 400 writing and producer credits on there with the samples included  theres no way they are going to award that much people

Didn't they exclude samples though? I thought Taylor was excluded from SOUR for these reasons

i think it depends on the type of sample used. taylor was excluded because it was an interpolation. some of beyonces samples are different but im not sure. it could be

It's one of her best works in years, I think if the writing was a bit stronger it would absolutely be an AOTY contender.
