While his work is usually great, one can argue if he is imperative and the de-facto highlight in every single alt/indie artists' work. Should Mitski, Mac Demarco, Tyler the Creator, Angel Olsen, and more ignore the calls/emails?

I genuinely couldn’t tell the new The 1975 was produced by him. It sounds a lot like their ABIIOR/NOACF stuff.

 

i also like pretty much all his produced stuff so no I don’t see a problem with him tbh

Yes. His last experimental work was LWYMMD FIVE years ago.

He's starting to give the Mcdonalds of music production but I like a lot of what he does ngl

He needs to space out his work more because when it’s done back to back it tends to sound somewhat similar.

Yes. He’s doing too much and his production and mixing techniques are getting same-old.

Yes. His minions soundtrack is unsalvageable. He’s the vecna of the pop world and I fear it’s too late to stop him

No  you all just blame him when you don’t like the album. He’s a good, versatile producer and he delivers the vision of the artist he’s working with. And half of these artists he barely worked with  

He’s very hit or miss, but when he hits, he hits. 
 

I like most of his production so I don’t have any problem with his work.

However, that being said, Mariners Apartment Complex is literally one of the best songs ever written, produced, and recorded in all of human existence so there’s that.
