Just randomly remember this song today and it felt so forgotten even when it was everywhere during late 2011/early 2012 which is insane… yesterday it received just 107k views and it’s just at 198 on Spotify Indonesia and that’s all… it’s even worse to think it was part of the most successful sagas like Twilight which was a blockbuster book and movie that it’s still mention and still having references and some fans out there

This was all over the radio in 2011-12. It was annoying. Totally forgot about the song until now.

weirdly his whole career feels like an afterthought

Didn't help that he never included it in any of his albums as a deluxe bonus track or something like that.  People used to audition for every reality singing competition with this song, and now it's legit forgotten.

 

It's crazy to me that this sold more and had a higher Hot 100 peak than "A Thousand Years."  You'd think it was the other way around...

A Thousand Years has to have outsold it by now, it’s had a residency on the iTunes Charts since it came out

He had way too many back to back to back smashes between 2010-2013 and then UF came late 2014 and the rest is history, plus A Thousand Years was the one to have the better hold and longevity. These factors overshadowed it...

Pretty much. Kinda shocking how forgotten it is given that it was a pretty big hit. Unfortunate too because it's lowkey one of my favorites from Bruno

A Thousand Years was recently Diamond certified in the US

It's forgotten because it's dated and cheesy sounding. But the "my life is nothing without you" weepy male ballad had a chokehold on radio in the 2010s.
