The other obviously has way more streams, but consider anything that are relatively at play, and decide which has the more impressive recurring streams on Spotify — Lover or Norman ******* Rockwell!?

 

 

Lover's consistency is surprising given that when it came out it felt like a mid-size era for Taylor, but Norman Rockwell feels more impressive considering that Lana hasn't been commercial in years. Her streaming stats are very impressive!

NFR since Lana doesn’t bother promoting or has a strong social media fan base. Her streams are 100% organic and people checkout that album based on word of mouth. Honestly NFR is a modern classic. The way you can play that album from start to finish and be transported to another world is just amazing.

Norman ******* Rockwell is a better display of songwriting. 

I would say Norman. It had zero hits and it’s not a commercial album, yet it’s only pulling 200k less than TUN which is considered Ariana’s commercial peak. It’s great.

 

However, if you told me Lover would be pulling these numbers nearly 3 years later after MEth and Calm.. 

Who are all those people listening to Lover?  I just can't picture it

my ex girlfriend was adamant that Lover was better and more impressive lol, they would just listen to it WAY more. I was like… i understand that you relate to the songs more with me and your other partner but NFR just has richer production, more consistency, and is more interesting/evocative in general

that being said, Lover is lovely and underappreciated. it might be her best pure pop album tbh
